About :

The price of the highly anticipated exhibition boxing match between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. is set. Multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed to MMA Fighting that the Sept. 12 pay-per-view card will cost $49.99, following an initial report from The Athletic. The event, which takes place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., will be streamed through cable, satellite and social media platform Triller. MMA Fighting recently spoke with Jones Jr. ahead of the bout and revealed that he is “at a 12” in terms of his excitement for the fight between two former heavyweight champions. Despite the bout being contested under exhibition rules, Jones Jr. expects Tyson to be a dangerous threat for the first three rounds and to “throw hammers” his way. The event’s preliminary card includes additional fights and musical performances. A 10-part docuseries will roll out with two episodes per week until the fight. One preliminary bout being discussed would see YouTube star Jake Paul taking on former NBA guard Nate Robinson. Jones Jr. most recently fought in February 2018, when he beat Scott Sigmon to win the German WBU cruiserweight title. Tyson retired in 2005 after quitting on his stool during a boxing match against Kevin McBride.
